June Favourites

Evening readers! For tonight's post i thought you would like to see a monthly favourites! As we are only half way through July i thought i'd take it back a month and talk about my favourites from June.

My first favourites are from the catalogue brand Avon. I have my perfumes that i use occasionally but i wanted a spray and/or perfume that was a reasonable price, handy to carry in my bag and that lasted for a good couple of hours. The bottle on the left is the Brazil Beat Body Mist and it smells absolutely gorgeous! It's not too strong and not too weak, it has the perfect scent. The second bottle is the Brazil Beat perfume and it's a bit stronger than the mist as the perfume goes on top of the mist to make the smell last for longer. The scent i'd describe them as is Tropical, perfect to take on holiday if you don't want to take anything too expensive.

My next favourite is another Avon product! This is the wild berries and pomegranate moisturiser. I've never really found a moisturiser i really, really like until i ordered this one. I've used Nivea and the Coco butter one by Palmers, which i really like both, but the smell of this one is much for satisfying for me. This moisturiser lasts for up to 30 hours and it works so well! I apply it when i have put tan on and washed the excess off, i then apply the moisturiser to keep a natural glow and for a longer last. It also hydrates your skin. I would highly recommend this as you don't need loads of amounts each time you use it, so you're definitely getting your moneys worth!

Now for a hair product! I'm probably not the only one who has a go-too for dry shampoo when i'm not really in the mood to wash my hair. The batiste XXL plumping powder is great for freshly washed hair, or greasy! I am a huge fan of the Batiste styling range and have probably tried all their different scents of dry shampoo! When i saw this released in Superdrug i knew i had to try it...and i love it! All you need to do is sprinkle some of the powder into your roots and rub it in, it then adds volume to your hair so it doesn't look flat. When i use it, i like to then back comb my hair and put some of my hair up in a small quiff and pony tail, my hair then looks extra voluminous!

My last favourite for last month is a pair of slip on trainers! I had seen a few youtubers wearing these and thought they looked really nice..so i decided to invest in some. These are from Matalan as i didn't want to spend overly amounts as i weren't sure if i would wear them a lot because of the bad weather. However, they are extremely comfortable and look good with anything. I had to put a gel insole in them to raise my foot a bit as my foot sat low in these ones, but they were definitely worth the money and i will soon buy some more!

I hope you enjoyed my monthly favourites and don't forget to check out my other posts and stay tuned for more to come!

What's in my makeup bag?

For my first post on this blog I thought I would do a "What's in my makeup bag?"
I'll show you in collections my makeup, eg Bronzers, Lips, Eyes etc. I will link as many products as I can for you! :)

Firstly, I have 3 of my mini Benefit collection. I have the Lolli tint for cheeks and lips which gives a slightly pigmented rosy pink tint. Then, I have my That Gal face primer. I really like this product as it does the job and  helps keep my makeup on all day. The final Mini Benefit product is the very popular High Beam highlighter. I only use this around my brows and on my nose as sometimes it can leave streaks above my cheekbones.

Next, we have my two favourite foundations. The one on the left is the Bourjous Healthy Mix foundation. The coverage for this foundation is amazing and it also has SPF which is good if you want to wear foundation on holiday in the heat! The second foundation is the Revlon 24 hour Colourstay. This is my second one of these as it also has great coverage and has SPF 15 in it. Depending on whether i'm wearing tan or not, i'll sometimes wear one of the foundations a day. But most of the time i mix both foundations as it matches my skin tone a lot more instead of wearing just one.

Onto concealers! The Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer is my holy grail! I've purchased this for many years as i feel it gives a great, smooth finish and the application is so easy! Essence is a brand i've only recently heard of and is reasonably affordable! I wanted the different colour palette for ages but didn't want to spend overly amounts. Then i found the Essence Collection. All 5 concealers have a thick consistency which can make it hard to apply, but they're also creamy which means blending them in is so easy! I mainly use the yellow for dark circles and green to cover up spots and they both work so well! If you have a drugstore that sells Essence then i would 100% recommend you try their products!

I'm quite picky when it comes to bronzers as i find some of them make me look orange or unnatural. I rarely use the Naked flushed palette bronzer by Urban Decay (top), but i use the Bourjois and Benefit Hoola bronzer every day...or when i wear makeup. The Bourjois one smells of chocolate and gives a really nice natural glow. However, the Hoola bronzer is definitely my favourite as it looks natural but still makes you looked tanned.

Contouring..my favourite part of makeup! I use the Seventeen Define and Conquer kit. This is a powder contour kit and really does the job. I love the powder contour kits as you can use as much or little product that you want. For everyday use, i like to use a light or medium coverage of powder, but for parties, meals, events etc I like to use more of a darker and heavier contour...which leads me too the Maybelline Master Contour Stick. I love this! Half the stick is a thick, creamy liquid contour and the other half is a creamy highlight. All you need is one swatch of both highlight and contour on the area you wish to put it on and it gives you a great, defined look.

Benefit blushes! My god, I love them! This palette is Cheeky Sweet Spot from their Christmas collection and it's gorgeous! It comes with the Hoola bronzer, Watts Up highlighter, Dandelion, Bella Bamba, Sugarbomb, Coralista and Rockateur blushers. My favourites are  Dandelion and Coralista. They give you a perfect glow on your cheeks and add some colour to your face. They're bold but not too pigmented so that they look over the top. I would definitely recommend any of the Benefit blushers!

Now onto Eyes! For mascara, at the moment i have been loving the Benefit They're real mascaras. They make my lashes a lot darker and longer and look as though i'm wearing falsies! The wands are amazing, they have thin bristles so its's easy to get individual lashes and the top of the wand has smaller bristles to use on your lower lashes .The  Bad Gal mascara also defines your lashes, however the brush is a lot thicker and gives you a more natural lash look compared to the They're Real one.
For my eyebrows i like to follow the shape i already have. For this, i use the Maybelline Brow Satin pencil. I've found this extremely handy as it has a satin pencil one end and a filler sponge the other which helps define the arch and tail for your brows.

Now finally, Brushes!! I've tried many brushes but my holy grail is 100% the Real Techniques collection. The first brush is a replica of the Real Techniques and is from Wilko. It's a blusher brush but i prefer to use it for my highlight powder.  The four brushes beneath that are my Real Techniques. I have the concealer, foundation, contour and buffing brush. All four brushes work really well and give me a flawless finish to my look. I use the buffing brush when applying my hoola bronzer as it's easier to blend it in.
The yellow brush is my EcoTools face brush, I use this to blend in my foundation once i've applied it with my Real Techniques foundation brush. The pink and white brush bellow that is my Victoria Secret concealer brush which i use instead to put my base coat of eyeshadow on. I then have my brow brush and eye lash curlers. The large Kabuki brush is excellent if you want a minimal amount of bronzer, as one dap of bronzer on it will do the trick! Last but not least, my beauty blenders. I haven't used a beauty blender before and only brought these yesterday so i look forward to using them!

I hope you've enjoyed my first post and i look forward to writing many more for you to read!
